Whose 'honour' are they trying to honour really?

    The boy and girl are very much in love with each other. When they felt that the right time has come, they informed their respective folks. The boy's parents even pursued it with the girl's parents. But, the girl's dad and mom are adamant that they won't allow their daughter to marry the boy because, actually the only reason is that, the boy is from a lower caste. When we friends were discussing the same issue, many came up with similar instances and surprisingly I found that it's a common issue that's going on all around.

    But, fortunately, the young people who committed the 'mistakes' are still very much alive, compared to many who have lost their lives because of 'honour killing' (WTF it may mean!). To talk about such unfortunate lives, the issue is that they have been brutally killed by their own fathers and mothers or they have initiated the killings. I have nothing much to discuss in this topic. I find it not worthy to even think about. I have only some questions.

    What is this honour all about? Who do they fear? The community? The caste leaders? Leave all that! What do they achieve by killing young people who were in love? What right do they have to kill the daughters or sons? Why do they value the stupid castes and their norms above the lives of their children? Wouldn't have these young and vibrant people lived happier, if they had been allowed to live with their partners of choice?  How can they comfortably continue a life after doing such heinous crimes? 

Whose damn f***ing 'honour' were you trying honour with these killings? I don't get it at all, you idiots!!!
