Unemployed.....and back to college!!!

June 2006. I joined Philips as a fresh and clueless graduate. Since I never had a professional experience before, I went in with lots of apprehension as well as excitement. But the most exciting part was coming to Bangalore. It was for the first time. The exciting part in that was the "Salubrious Climate" in Bangalore.

The professional experience was really worth it. Since it was a bit different from the usual software job, the scope of knowing different things was always there and even dealing with project management, people of different nationalities etc. were really helpful to evolve. I can see some difference from that clueless graduate to the current professional (at least I think so!) I have become. Also, the people were awesome to work with. In between, a switch from the initial project to another one gave me a chance to fly for the first time in my life. And that too, a trip to Europe during last winter which will always remain as a memorable period of my life time.

June 2009. In between the busy schedule last year, I could find some time to write CAT last November and got calls and converted and got admission offers from IIM Bangalore and IIM Lucknow. So I'm joining IIM Bangalore. Today was my last day in Philips. A company which was a part of my life even before I joined it. A company of which I became a part after I joined it.

Bangalore and Philips nurtured me very well. I loved the working and interactive environment in Philips. Also I love Bangalore as much as I love Kochi. Fortunately, my next two years will also be in Bangalore!!

So now again back to college. Hope next two years will also be among the memorable periods of my life time. Wish me luck!!!
