Nothing much to say!

An Indian Channel reporter asked Nawaz Sherif during the declaration of Emergency in Pakistan, last year.

“What’s your message to the Pakistan Cricket Team that is touring India now?”

I quoted this in an earlier post too.

Again to the mother of Scarlette, another reporter (Note that the reporter too is a woman!) suggests, “Fiona, when you look at the images of Scarlette smiling at you from the photographs, do you think to yourself, what a fool I was?”. Read more here.

Channels seemed to be so obsessed with the Great Khali after he stepped on the Indian soil. Everyone is 'impressed' with the “Indian-phenomenon-ruling-the-world-scene-of-WWE”. The 24 hour reporting on the same was too much to take in.

Irresponsibility and Idiocy and Irreverence are not at all proving to be "road-blocks" to eat a "humble" pie of the Great Indian Media. Apathy slaps on your face in name of the preconceived notions. And they prefer to be the News “Makers” and Opinion “Makers”, rather than News “Reporters”. I used to and still appreciate the investigative and the impartial elements of the news reporting, the rare glimpses of which still offer some hope. But whenever I expect them to improve, they are trying “hard” to prove themselves to be hopeless disasters.

But after all these; considering the fact that the channels show what is demanded by the audience and unconditionally reject what is rather unimportant by the standard of an average viewer’s discretion, why would I blame only the channels?

Do you know there is a scramble for DD news nowadays? So I wouldn't dismiss the junta and say that they like the fare dished out by the Channels! And the mallu channel news is also quite good and the news readers much dignified compared to the English news readers! They still follow the DD format I guess!

The tastes of people play a big role in determining what is shown on the channels.

And about mallu new readers; I think it's because they have less "actions" to convey the news and they just read the news unlike the 'national' counterparts.

I don't think so. There is plenty of action happening in Kerala too. But it is reported in a straightforward manner by the mallu news readers! Something good to say about our people at last! :)

Hey...I didn't mean that "actions"...I meant "gestures".... :)
